Due to the promotion of youth welfare, our work is, according to the most recent notice of exemption, issued by the Tax Office for Corporations I. Berlin (tax number 27/663/52460) on 27th June 2014, exempt from corporate tax, in line with § 5 para 1 no. 9 of the German Corporate Income Tax Act (Körperschaftssteuergesetz), and exempt from trade tax in line with § 3 no. 6 of the German Trade Tax Act (Gewerbesteuergesetz) for the years 2010 to 2011.

The Main Committee consists of one representative sent by each youth organization that is a member of the German Federal Youth Council and a total of three representatives for the 16 regional youth councils. The one delegate sent by each affiliated organization has an advisory vote.
