Jacob Blut/SPD-Fraktion
The Bundesjugendring was represented at the SPD parliamentary group’s “Market of Opportunities” in the German Bundestag. As part of the 2026 Otto Wels Prize for Democracy, young activists from across Germany exchanged views on youth organisations and federations.
The “Market of Opportunities” took place on 22 April 2026 in the Bundestag as part of the pre-event programme leading up to the award ceremony. The Otto Wels Prize for Democracy honours young people aged between 14 and 20 who are committed to a just, open and inclusive society.
At the Bundesjugendring’s stand, the focus was on the diverse forms of engagement within youth organisations and networks, democracy, and the threats posed by the far right. The discussions highlighted just how keen young people are to get involved.
