Bundesjugendring brings young perspectives to Digital Day 2025
DFA Digital für alle gGmbH
Raoul Taschinski emphasised that digital education must go far beyond technical skills. It needs spaces for analogue experiences, democratic education and critical thinking - also outside of school, for example in youth associations and voluntary work. This is where young people learn to take responsibility and practise digital self-determination.
He also pointed out that digital tools can support entry into working life, but must not lead to new social inequalities. Digital education must be barrier-free, data protection-compliant and accompanied by pedagogical quality. At the same time, young people should be involved as active co-creators in the development of digital education programmes.
The German Federal Youth Council is committed to linking digital and analogue educational spaces and meeting young people in the realities of their lives - in order to give them fair opportunities in a digitalised working world and to strengthen their self-determination.
The Bundesjugendring is a partner in the DFA "Digital for All" initiative, which is organising the Digital Day.
