Survey: Attacks on youth organisations by the extreme right

The German Federal Youth Council has launched a survey on threats and attacks on youth groups, youth associations and youth organisations - particularly at local level - from the extreme right-wing spectrum. The Bundesjugendring is investigating how many and what type of incidents are currently occurring and how they are being dealt with. The survey is aimed in particular at the municipal level. The results and possible recommendations for action from the findings will then be made available.

The participants in the survey should be people at all organisational levels who are responsible for dealing with right-wing extremist actors within the association or who feel responsible in a specific case.

In 2024, the Bundesjugendring 2024 has already looked at the assessments and concerns of the threat in the event of extreme right-wing parties coming to power at various federal levels. While parliamentary interventions are well documented, threats and attacks by the non-party-organised extreme right are more difficult to record. The aim of the survey is therefore to perceive the threat situation and to analyse it as part of a threat study in order to develop recommendations for action for youth groups, youth associations and youth rings to protect and safeguard their work and members.

Participation in the survey takes approx. 5-10 minutes and is possible until 30 April 2026. The German Federal Youth Council expressly requests that the survey be forwarded to the municipal level and would like to thank you in advance for your valuable contributions.
