The focus was on getting to know each other, agreeing on a common working method and a first substantive kick-off for the second European Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS2).
Daniel Eggstein from Klima-Allianz Deutschland provided an in-depth introduction to the topic of ETS2, creating a common basis for all those involved. Building on this, the participants worked out their goals for further work on ETS 2 and developed a roadmap for the coming months. The presentational format in particular generated a great deal of motivation and momentum for further joint work on the topic.
Over the next two months, the representatives of the youth associations and organisations have set themselves the goal of jointly acquiring specialist knowledge on ETS 2 through various briefings. The next step will be to develop a joint position that will be presented to the Federal Ministry for the Environment.
