Plan to protect against sexual violence published

Protecting young people from sexual violence is a key priority for the Bundesjugendring. As part of an ongoing process to enhance protection, the Bundesjugendring has drawn up a policy on protection against sexual violence. It sets out the structures, responsibilities and procedures for prevention, intervention and addressing past incidents within the Bundesjugendring.

The framework specifically relates to the work of the Bundesjugendring’s secretariat and executive board. The organisation’s role as a working group at federal level gives rise to institution-specific requirements regarding protection structures and procedures, which are set out clearly in the framework.

The publication of the policy does not mark the end of the protection process within the Bundesjugendring. Policies must be put into practice and continuously developed. The Bundesjugendring is therefore constantly engaged in implementing and further developing the measures described.

The policy is now available on the website.
