New youth representative in the EU Youth Dialogue

Until 30 June 2026, the focus of the EU Youth Dialogue is Youth Objective 1 "Bringing the EU together with young people". Emma is convinced: "In times of a shift to the right, the climate crisis and other global crises, it is essential that young people are involved in social change. To achieve this, we need serious and fair youth participation in political decision-making processes."

Emma is 23 years old and is studying German and English law, specialising in European Legal Studies. She began her political involvement at the age of 16 with Fridays for Future. Since then, she has been involved in various projects for climate protection and social justice. She runs Roots, a student initiative that offers free legal advice on environmental and climate protection. Emma emphasises that genuine youth participation is more than just asking for opinions - it requires the active involvement of young people in political decision-making processes. Only through such participation can trust in democratic institutions be strengthened and the European community be promoted in the long term.
