Project start: Application qualification of the quality standards - protection and prevention concepts in youth participation at federal level
This takes up the experience of the pilot project "Application qualification of the quality standards for child and youth participation at federal level", which was completed in 2025 and has already provided important impetus for the practice-oriented further development of the quality standards. It became particularly clear that protection and prevention approaches, especially for protection against sexualised violence, have not yet been sufficiently concretised for youth participation formats at federal level and offer further potential for professional and practical development.
This is where the new project comes in: The Specialist and Coordination Unit for Youth Participation and the Specialist Unit for the Prevention of Sexualised Violence at the Federal Youth Council are pooling their expertise and working together on a guideline for protection concepts in participation processes at federal level. This guideline will be based on the close integration and continuous feedback with the Bundesjugendring's own participation processes and at the same time incorporate the expertise of other providers of youth participation formats at federal level.
The Bundesjugendring would like to thank the BMBFSFJ for its funding, which will make it possible to continue and expand the specialist work of the Youth Participation Expert and Coordination Centre.
