The Youth Travel Workshop met in Berlin

On 11 June 2026, the ‘Jugendreisen’ workshop took place in Berlin. This regular event serves to foster networking amongst member organisations and to facilitate professional discussion on current issues and developments relating to youth association travel.

During the workshop, the Youth Travel Unit gave a detailed account of its work and current priorities. In addition, the participants discussed various practical challenges and issues. Key topics included mental health, safety protocols for youth camps, mobile phone use at youth camps against the backdrop of current political debates on social media bans, as well as cancellation policies and travel cancellation insurance.

The next Youth Travel Workshop will take place on 24 September 2026 in Berlin. It will follow on from the Youth Travel Symposium on 23 September 2026.
