Workshop on the Prevention of Sexual Violence: Exchange and Networking
The focus was on the DBJR project ‘Implementation of Quality Standards – Protection and Prevention Strategies in Youth Participation at Federal Level’. The workshop provided a forum for gathering feedback based on the associations’ expertise, taking on board their responses and incorporating practical insights into the project’s future work.
In addition, ongoing protection processes within individual organisations were discussed in a collegial manner. A brief joint introduction to the topic of sexualised violence via digital media also sparked a discussion on its significance for youth organisation practice. It became clear that the growing importance of digital spaces in the lives of children and young people also poses challenges for youth organisations’ work to protect young people from sexualised violence.
The workshop serves to foster networking and the exchange of professional expertise amongst peers. The next session will take place online on 28 September 2026:
