The EU Youth Dialogue event intends to explore youth participation in Germany and Denmark. The program will include keynote contributions and eight thematic workshops. The aim is to develop a joint paper with proposals for strengthening youth participation in Europe.

Therefore, 50 participants from Denmark and 50 participants from Germany will gather at the Danish Embassy in Berlin (Rauchstr 1, 10787 Berlin) on 7 November. The event will kick-off at 14:30 p.m. and will close with a Get-together around 22:00 p.m. in the evening.

Accommodation costs in shared rooms (up to four persons) is fully covered and arranged for you. For your travels a lump sum is paid. This means, participants get an amount of money depending on the distance of travel, but regardless the actual ticket prices and will need to arrange their round trip by themselves.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • aged 18 – 30

  • live in Germany or being born/grown up in Germany

Kindly note, that due to limited capacities it might not be possible to grant participation to every applicant. Submission of an application does not guarantee participation in the event. Definitive confirmation e-mails will be sent out until 13.10.2025. Please do not book your travel arrangements until you have received definitive confirmation.

The EU Youth Dialogue event on Youth Participation in Germany and Denmark is organized by the Danish Embassy in Berlin in cooperation with the Bertelsmann Foundation and the German Federal Youth Council (DBJR).

During the event, eight different workshops will be held as part of the event programme. Each participant can attend one workshop. Please indicate your workshop topic preferences.
Kindly note: Accommodation in shared and gender-separated rooms (up to four persons) will be covered and organised for one night from 07.11. to 08.11.2025.
In exceptional cases single accommodation might be possible without stating reasons.
Kindly note: The catering during the conference will be fully vegan. Vegetarian and vegan options are available for breakfast at the accommodation.
